However, your App Store will only keep track of the apps you've downloaded with the Apple ID you're currently logged into. This means you'll also see apps you downloaded on other iPhones with the same Apple ID.
If you want to see apps you downloaded on other Apple ID accounts, you'll need to log into them. It's under the "Locations" header at the top. Depending on how you downloaded the file you're looking for, you may see it right here in the main On My iPhone folder. You'll also find an iCloud Drive folder in this section, as well as any other cloud drive services you've set up on your phone. If you tap one of these folders, you may find downloaded files there, too. Tap the Downloads folder.

This displays a list of every app that's installed on your iPhone. Type an app's name to search it. If you know the name of the app, you can type it into the search bar to find it in the list.

The second way is more cumbersome, but I believe each user should know where to locate that information. Then I totally misunderstood what you were asking about. Every app that I have purchased over the years appears in my iTunes library as I described. I have been syncing with iTunes for years and downloading the apps in iTunes when app thinning was introduced so all apps would be in my library.
I assume now from rereading your post that you were saying your apps were not in your iTunes library and that you had to add them yourself. You got it fixed on your own and that's all that counts, I'm glad that you got it sorted out. Yes, that was my problem, it would be hard to envisage if you didn't have it. It only occurred when I migrated to a new computer. I copied them into the first folder and added that library as I described.
I have 3 iTunes libraries and I can only have apps in one, by the way. As long as one knows.
